  • The Cleveland Way: A must-do for any keen walker, the Cleveland Way is one of the most famous long-distance trails in the UK. Stretching over 110 miles from Helmsley to Filey, this trail offers some of the most stunning views in North Yorkshire. You’ll pass through dramatic cliffs, rugged moorland, and picturesque coastal villages. If you're feeling adventurous, you can tackle parts of the Cleveland Way from our campsite, with the trail just a short distance away. The route provides plenty of opportunities for shorter day walks too, so you can tailor your hike to your preferred level of difficulty.

  • Scalby Mills to Scarborough North Bay: A lovely coastal walk that starts at Scalby Mills, just a short distance from our campsite. This route takes you along the edge of the North Sea and through the scenic paths of the Scarborough coast. The walk leads you to North Bay, where you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze and incredible views of Scarborough Castle and the coastline. This is an easy walk, ideal for families or anyone looking to take in some beautiful views without too much effort.

  • Scalby to Hayburn Wyke: This 5-mile circular walk offers a peaceful mix of countryside and coastal views. Starting from the village of Scalby, you’ll walk along the scenic bridleways and paths that lead to Hayburn Wyke, a secluded cove on the coast. This route provides the opportunity to experience both the rugged cliffs and sheltered woodlands of the area, making it a lovely and varied walk suitable for most levels.

  • Forge Valley Circular Walk: Just a short drive from Prospect House Farm, the Forge Valley Circular Walk takes you through one of the most beautiful and tranquil areas of the North York Moors. This 3-mile route follows the River Derwent through a lovely wooded valley, offering peaceful and scenic surroundings. It’s a perfect choice for anyone seeking a more relaxed walk with the opportunity to enjoy wildlife and birdwatching along the way.

Whether you’re staying in one of our comfortable glamping pods or camping under the stars, you can relax and recharge, ready for another adventure the next day. And after all that fresh air, a hot drink in hand while watching the sun set over the moors is the perfect way to end your day.


A bridle way runs through the farm and many of these walks are accessible straight from here. Leave the car, find a few pubs along the way and make a glorious day of it.
